    Talila 


    Blues in Yiddish is the trademark of French-Jewish vocal artist Talila. She sings many of the classic songs, such as Mein Yiddishe Mame, Bei mir bis du shein, and many more in her very personal French chanson-like style. Talila was born in France by Polish parents, and what was their world is strongly present in Talila’s artistic expression. On the repertoire, she also has several American Yiddish songs we know from the 1930s and later. Teddy Lasry, clarinet, Jeremy Lasry, guitar, percussion, piano, accordion, Pierre Mortarelli, double bass.

Gerard Edery brings together different Jewish traditions both musically and linguistically. Edery is an experienced musician and artist and in this concert he explores folk music with emphasis on the Sephardic culture, which originated from the Jews of Moorish Spain before the year 1400.

    For the first time in Trondheim we get to experience the legendary clarinetist and klezmer virtuoso Giora Feidman. Feidman is known for being a “grand old man” in klezmer music, which has also become the hallmark of this festival. Together with his trio, Giora Feidman is still touring at the age of 83. The trio’s repertoire is very varied. The core of the program is traditional klezmer, arranged by Giora Feidman. We also get to hear classical pieces, jazz and folk. With Giora Feidman, clarinet, Guido Jaeger, double base, Michael Leontchick, cymbalom, Enrique Ugarte, accordion, Arranged in collaboration with Trondheim World Music Festival
